SASSY SOUTHERN BALLET MAMA: An Adult Ballet and Character Dance Teacher

Ballet by Adults, For Adults

As a certified Ballet and Character Dance Teacher, I’ve been teaching dance for over twenty years. My mission is to share my ballet knowledge and experience with Adult Dancers who love Ballet. I believe that Adult Ballet Dancers are an incredible part of the Ballet Community and have a lot to bring to the Ballet Table. I believe strongly in training Adult Ballet Dancers and advocating for their space in the Ballet World.

My Story

I love what I do.
I love creating dancers, from the ground up, with solid technique.
But let’s be real, this job is not for the faint of heart!
Balancing Ballet Teacher Life with Mommy Life, Wife Life, Personal Life, Day Job Life, and every other “Life” Hat, can be draining!
It’s why I truly believe in creating a Dance Space that is “by adults, for adults.” Our lives demand a certain amount of understanding in the Ballet Studio, and I believe in creating that space for Adult Dancers, WHILE offering sound technique.
 This is my passion.

FOR CURRENT COURSE OFFERINGS, PLEASE SEE SPECIFIC SEASON TABS ABOVE.

PLEASE EMAIL LEIGH AT STORTELLERSDANCEPROJECT@GMAIL.COM WITH ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS

(the email tab here doesn't always get to me timely! thank you!)

Offering classes both virtually and in-person allows me to effectively teach students from across the country, students who cannot currently train in a studio, and students who enjoy working in their home studios, while also answering the needs of students who desire a more hands-on approach.

Most of my local students take a mix of both in-person and virtual class offerings, and our ballet community as a whole, both virtual and in-person students, is one of care, compassion and joy in each other.
